What we guarantee
- ✓No account or login: iView Companion requires no account creation, registration, or login credentials.
- ✓No email collection: We never ask for, store, or process your email address or any personally identifiable information.
- ✓No conversation storage: Your chat messages are not written to any database. Closing the tab ends the conversation—nothing is retained by us.
- ✓No advertising: iView Companion contains no ads, sponsored content, or promotion tracking.
- ✓No third-party trackers: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar cross-site profiling tools.
What we cannot guarantee for you
Third-party model provider
When you chat, your prompts are sent to a third-party model provider (via Vercel AI Gateway) to generate replies. These providers have their own privacy policies and data retention practices. We recommend reviewing the relevant model provider's privacy policy to understand how they handle the data you send.
Abuse prevention
If abuse protection is enabled, a short-lived derived value based on your IP address may be stored briefly to prevent misuse. This value cannot be reversed back to your IP address and is automatically discarded after a brief period.

Links to ABC iView are governed by ABC's separate privacy policy. Once you leave iView Companion and visit ABC iView, you are subject to their terms and privacy practices, not ours.
In summary
iView Companion is designed with privacy in mind. We don't ask you to create an account, we don't track you, and we don't store your conversations. However, the chat itself is sent to a third-party AI service, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies if you have concerns about data retention.
